Faculty «Variety art» was brought into being on September, 5, 2002 on the ground of the decree of Council of Ministers Republic of Uzbekistan. It is a new administration in educational activity of Uzbekistan. Its creation meant to promote musical art, create new direction in musical system, and develop preparation of highly skilled specialists, using Uzbek national musical heritage. At present Nazarov Hushnud Erkinovich serves as the Dean of the «Variety art» faculty. The faculty consists of the following departments:

Department of variety art and instrumental performing

Department of musical sound management and information technologies

Department of general piano performing

Section «Variety art singing» is one of educational administrations training in bachelor degree of «Vocal art». Activity of faculty is aimed to assimilate variety art works of Uzbek and foreign composers, arrangements of national songs, world’s non-classical, pop music genres such as blues, spirituals, country, jazz, rock and other varieties.
Composer Dilorom Davranovna Amanullaeva serves as the Chief of the department of the «Variety art performing», she is an acting senior lecturer, the Honored Art worker of Uzbekistan,holder of an order «Dustlik».

There are sixteen teachers in «Variety art singing» section: Six of them are senior lectures, three of whom hold title of People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, three – Honored artists of Uzbekistan, one - candidate of Art criticism, and one is Honered worker of culture of Uzbekistan.

«Variety art performing» is a branch of «instrumental performing» direction. Bachelor degree students obtain education in the following:
1. piano
2. guitar solo.
3. guitar - rhythm.
4. bass - guitar.
5. saxophone (an alto, the tenor, a soprano, a baritone)
6. trumpet.
7. trombone.
8. percussion instruments.

There are eighteen teachers in this section. Among them there are two professors, four senior lecturers, four senior teachers, eight teachers.

Department of «Musical sound management and information technologies»

Development of modern technologies demanded creation of such department. Such specialty as «musical sound management» assumes training of highly skilled specialists for radio, TV, musical theatres, concert halls.

There are fifteen teachers, among them five senior lecturers, four senior teachers, six teachers, one of whom is the honored worker of culture of republic of Uzbekistan, and three teachers are Candidates of Technical Sciences.

The majority of graduates of the faculty work: in «Broadcasting company», «Radio records», «Tarona records», «PanTerra», «UNA-records», «Poytaxt», «Oriat Dono».

Twenty five students of the faculty of the State Conservatory live in hostel and twenty seven live in rented houses or at their relatives.

Fruitful activity of “Variety art singing” department mainly makes the great achievements to the development of the «Variety art performing » faculty .
2001 – Sevara Nazarkhan - the prize winner of "Nihol", the Honoroud Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laureate of the international reviews and festivals.
2003 – Oksana Nechitailo - the prize winner of "Nihol", in 1998 she won the second place at theRepublican competition «San'at Gunchalari» at the category - young talented participants, as well as diploma at the republican competition of the professional songs «Towards the 21 century Sado-99», 2002 - «Aziz ona yurtim navolari» - second prize, 2003 Russia, Saint-Petersberg, the International competition of young performers – the second prize.
2003 – Manzura Yuldosheva - the prize winner of "Nihol".
2004 – Lola Akhmedova - the prize winner of "Nihol" .
2005 – Dilnoza Ismiyaminova - the prize winner of "Nihol", laureate of republican competition «Uzbekiston- Vatanim manim», the winner of «Yangi nomlar» competition, and many other.

In addition our students participate actively in many concert programs and actions that are held in the Republic, devoted to such national holidays as, "Navruz", "Mustaqilik", «Day of defenders of the Fatherland», "Constitution day".

Teachers of the faculty are engaged in activities on advanced training. For example, the teachers of the faculty «Musical sound management and information technologies» Nasyrov М.З, and Juldashev B.O. studied at the advanced training courses at the Russian musical academy named after Gnesins. Isakhodjaev A. took part in the festival of sound producers in Germany. Nasyrov M.Z. visited the center of training of the fund " Iste’dod " founded by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. AmanullaevaD.D.-a member of the board of the State prize named after "Zulfiya", the responsible secretary, a member of the competitive committee of the state concert programs "Navruz" and "Mustaqilik”, a member of the authorize committee and the council of the variety art and concert association "Uzbeknavo".

Scientific - creative activity of teachers of the faculty, comprise supervision of essays written by students graduating magistracy, assistants - trainees, students of the faculty of advanced training of the State Conservatory.
A great deal of teachers serve as members of competition committees of various levels, members and chairmen of state testimonial committees, take part in concerts, that take place in concert halls of the capital and other cities of the Republic ( more then 50 concerts per year).

Today technical resources of the faculty have acquired all necessary instruments. Almost every classroom of the “variety art singing faculty equipped with a grand piano and a piano. The small hall is used for the lessons of stage culture. The lecture-rooms of the faculty of “variety art of instrumental performing” equipped with the modern electronic equipment, microphones. There are specialized lecture-rooms for the lessons of "Orchestra" subject. At the disposal of the department of “Musical sound management” there are three sound recording studious and two computer classrooms, with special equipment.
